RURAL GITES

A beautifully restored 19th century barn set in acres of private land with spectacular views over the Foret de La Double with its walks and cycle trails. The three gites are named after the local flora and fauna - Gite Cepe, Gite Cerf and Gite Sanglier - each one sympathetically restored celebrating the history of the building with old stone and natural wood beams exposed where possible giving a feeling of space and luxury. Each gite has their own private terrace and dining area. The gites share a heated 10m x 5m salt water pool set in peaceful and secluded gardens. Rural Gites nestles in pristine forest and we are completely committed to maintaining our environment. We provide recycling bins for guests to recycle as much as possible. We encourage our guests to contribute to compost making for our potager, and return the favour by providing home grown fruit and vegetables in our guest hamper when available. Rural Gites is in the rural hamlet of Chadéne and is only 3km from the lovely village of Saint-Barthélemy-de-Bellegarde which has a well stocked épicerie, locally produced organic foodstuffs, a delicious bakery and a lovely restaurant ‘Le Barthomé’.
